Welcome back, Dan Powell Bulldogs! My name is Jennifer Terry Dancer and I am excited to serve as the PROUD Principal of Dan Powell Early Learning Academy for the 2026-2027 school year! I am exhilarated to partner with you and collaboratively enhance the educational experience of our Dan Powell Bulldogs! Our theme this year is Wild About Learning and we are THRILLED to create learning experiences full of fun, engagement, and academic success! Make sure your scholars are present and on time for school everyday so that they will not miss out on all of the incredible things happening at school! 

This academic term commemorates my 19th year in the field of education, in which 6 of those years have been in Everman ISD. During my tenure in Everman ISD, I served as an Instructional Coach at Bishop Elementary and as an Assistant Principal at Dan Powell Early Learning Academy, E. Ray Elementary, and Baxter Junior High. This school year will be my first as a Principal and I am incredibly excited to be returning back to Dan Powell Early Learning Academy! 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas Christian University in 2008 (Go, Frogs!) and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. I completed the Educational Leadership Program at Texas Christian University in 2021, while simultaneously obtaining my Principal as Instructional Leader certification for the state of Texas.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching and attending football and basketball games, hosting game nights, watching television, and being an entrepreneur. 

I feel the greatest reward in education is being blessed with the opportunity to impact lives on a daily basis. I am delighted to reunite with and serve the Dan Powell Early Learning Academy community with passion, dedication, cohesiveness, and a student-centered focus!
