Mrs. Christy Mock is the School Counselor at Dan Powell Early Learning Academy, where she supports Pre-K and Kindergarten students in their academic, social, and emotional growth. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop positive relationships, manage big feelings, and feel safe and supported at school.

Mrs. Mock brings extensive experience in education as a teacher, assistant principal, and school counselor. She holds certifications in EC–6 General Education, Special Education, ESL, and School Counseling, along with her Principal as Instructional Leader certification. She earned her Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Educational Psychology.

Mrs. Mock’s work supports Everman ISD’s mission and vision of “One Goal…One Purpose…Student Success” by partnering with students, families, and staff to help every child thrive.

Outside of school, Mrs. Mock enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for 29 years, is a proud mom of seven children and grandma to nine grandchildren. She enjoys swimming, baking, audiobooks, and anything involving dinosaurs and glitter!
