Assistant Principal - Derica Watson

My name is Derica Watson, and I am thrilled to join the Dan Powell family as Assistant Principal! I am proud to continue serving Everman ISD, where I have worked as an educator for the past nine years. As a proud alumna of Everman ISD, I am excited to give back to the community that helped shape me.

Over the course of my 19-year career in education, I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, including graduate assistant, classroom teacher, and athletic administrator.  I am passionate about supporting student growth, building positive relationships, and creating a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.

Outside of school, I have been happily married for 16 years and am the proud mom of two boys. I enjoy reading, trying new foods, and traveling with my family.
