Assistant Principal - Kenisha Williams-Turner

Greetings Everman Bulldog Families,

I am delighted to join Dan Powell Early Learning Academy as your Pre-Kindergarten Assistant Principal. As I begin my 20th year of service in public education, I absolutely love working with the littles and have many years of teaching experience in early childhood and elementary education. I enjoy fostering supportive learning environments that include developmentally appropriate, engaging, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners.

With a strong background in behavioral intervention, I have also served as a behavior specialist, collaborating with teachers, families, and support teams to design and implement effective behavior support plans rooted in evidence-based practices. I’m eager to assist with positive behavioral interventions and supports, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices being implemented across the campus!

Throughout my career, I’ve focused on creating inclusive, student-centered, and nurturing learning environments where children feel seen, safe, and supported. I am passionate about empowering our early learners at Powell, supporting their unique needs, and helping every child thrive. I’m ready to help our team deliver a compassionate, collaborative, and data-informed approach to meet the needs of our young scholars. I remain committed to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of all students.

My focus is always the same: to help students and teachers grow in confidence, capability, and joy! I am excited to work closely with our young learners, families, and educators to ensure that every child receives the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.

I strongly appreciate the warm feeling of family and community in Everman ISD. I am proud to be part of a district that values such partnerships. I look forward to serving each of you and “Building Young Minds for a Brighter Future” in Pre-K.
